I’m a photographer and director based in LA, originally from Chicago. With 20+ years in the field, I still bring curiosity and focus to every shoot.
My work is all about classic storytelling—using light, composition, and timing to create honest, grounded images. I’ve been lucky to work with great clients and crews, and I really enjoy collaborating with people I like.
I also mentor and teach when I can, sharing practical skills that help in the real world.
At the end of the day, it’s about using light to tell the truth.
I’ve always believed that photography is as much about sharing what you know as it is about what you see. Over the years, I’ve mentored assistants, led workshops, and helped emerging photographers get comfortable with the craft and the process.
My approach is practical and straightforward. I focus on real-world skills—lighting, composition, workflow—that make a difference on set and beyond. I’m here to help you build confidence and find your own voice, without the fluff.
